If a paradox is a statement, that at first seems wrong, but is in fact true, then the opposite is a statement that seems true, but is in fact not.

I was thinking of paradox as something that can't possibly be true.

On the other hand if you say that paradox is something that first seem not true but then turns out to be true then YES it is very closse.
