Complaints and Grievances Department
I would like to complain about the person in my meeting today who repeatedly kept pointing out I did not provide comments to their document a few months ago, when indeed I had. They already got me fired. What the hell was that all about?

Probably their game of pretending they had a "valid" excuse. I was given the same type of bull at my exit interview with the incompetent new management of Wal-Mart. If you're ever in Shakopee, buy eggs at Cub and throw them at wall-mart.
Hear hear!
And... I would like to complain that my team at work just moved into a new building, and my office has not one, but TWO smoke-dome cameras outside of it. WTF? I know they're not there to watch me specifically (at least I think not
I DON'T WANT/NEED A BIG BROTHER, THANKS.

Cameras are there to spy on people and be used as evidence in a court of flaw. We don't need them anymore than we need sickos peeking in a bathroom stall.
That's not completely true. There are some valid reasons why they are used; I know they were used a few years ago in our school when someone broke all of the windows (all of the windows); it was used a few months ago when someone robbed the local grocery store (with a gun). No, they have uses.
I would like to complain about nightmares. I totally was not able to identify the dream (nightmare) last night as a dream; that was the first in an extremely long time.

I would like to complain about "knee-jerk" reactions to CCTV cameras. I'm about to visit London this weekend. I will be filmed hundreds of times. I will feel so much more comfortable, knowing that almost every inch of town is covered by at least one camera. I am not intending to mug anyone. There's at least 50% less chance of being mugged, since the cameras went in, as muggers know that they'll be seen/caught. In fact, as I'll make a point of staying (prominently
) on camera, I'll have even less chance of being mugged.
I would like to complain about people who are so self-centred that they think a camera operator is going to bother to watch them.
I would finally like to complain about people who think that a CCTV recording is going to be used against them. What is that illegal act that they are going to perform (on me)?
PS. I do not wish to complain that I just recently got caught on camera and had to pay a speeding fine. C'est la vie.

Ah! You may be able to do something about that. On Watchdog recently, they said that people have now got such fine money back out of their banks.
The bank is only allowed to change an amount that is "comparable to the costs incurred". They sent you an automated letter. Cost? 30p? They charge you £30.. not comparable.
Even though the figure is stated in your "Terms and Conditions", it would probably be rejected by a court as an "unreasonable" clause in the contract. Apparently banks are going to have to rethink this.
Complain. Threaten to move your account. Move your account.

I'd like to complain that most of the management I've worked with has been incompetent and lazy. There have only been a couple that actually deserve to keep their jobs.
I'd also like to complain that minimum wage jobs in the US pay around $9,500 to $13,500 per year whereas the cost of living is from $20,000 to $30,000. That just sucks if you can't afford college.

I wish to complain about people who, thinking themselves clever, make "knee-jerk" reactions about people they think are making "knee-jerk" reactions. I wish to complain that this is especially annoying when someone makes a "knee-jerk" reaction that someone else is making a "knee-jerk" reaction that is actually a long thought-out position that considers things far beyond and and more deeply than the "knee-jerk" superficial. We may agree to disagree here, but don't make the error of dismissivly naming my position "knee-jerk"; I have objections in this area that are long and well thought-out.
I wish to complain that people who rely too much on others for protection are people begging to be mastered and controlled. I wish to complain that those who strive to be like sheep deserve to be treated like cattle, and ultimately will be. You must be shaking in your boots whenever you're not within site of a camera, eh?
I wish to complain that those who readily surrender their privacy on the vapid argument that they've "nothing to hide" or "intend to do no wrong" deserve no privacy.
I wish to complain about people who are so simple-minded that they make assumptions about another person's state of mind or reasoning about why they might be opposed to something based on a simply-worded complaint with no rationale included.
I wish to complain that [other] people who quietly put up with this sort of government sanctioned financial rape only encourage more of it. I wish to complain about people who buy into the notion that it's all for our own good. I wish to complain that there aren't more people in the world who have the spirit left to resist such creeping tyranny (just an example amongst countless others).
Finally, I wish to complain that there are apparently so many people in the world who do not understand the difference between security, and the illusion of security; I wish to complain that the same can be said of freedom. I wish to complain about people who are so easily manipulated, they confuse "what is legal" with "what is right". I wish to complain that humans seem to lack both the ability to learn from the past, and the ability to look far enough into the future to see where we're headed. Technology can be used both to enable, and to enslave; which of these do you think is more in line with human nature when humans are in a position to rule other humans?
Good fortune,

No. Do what you're told and take the fine like a good little girl, RoseRed. After all, what's the real difference between that... and a camera-issued speeding ticket you get in the mail? C'est la vie.

I already did that with Natwest and got back £2500, but they closed my account and i moved to the Halifax. I don't want to go through the hassle of changing banks again.

I want to complain about my hotel for not having wireless interweb. I just bought a new laptop with built-in wireless and Blue Tooth technology and this is my first chance to check it out. I was disappointed to find out I had to hard wire to the LAN.
That brings me to my second complaint. The LAN wire is too short. I want to sit on my bed and play on the interweb, but it does not reach far enough. I have to lay on my tummy, which hurts my back.
My third complaint is about the Red Sox. What the hell?
First off, Manny being Manny killed us. He tried to take 3rd on a dropped ball by the catcher in the middle of the game, but the ball did not even leave the home plate area, so he got thrown out at third. JD Drew later singled, which would have scored Manny. I told my friends to remember that blunder, as it may cost us in the end.
Secondly, why was Gagme or Gagne or whatever his name is brought into the 8th when Okajima was looking good? A Tejada 2-Run Dinger later and the game was tied. He has blown all of his save opportunities since we traded for him. He was rightully booed by the 60%+ Red Sox crowd here at Camden Yards in Baltimore. Wait until he enters a game at Fenway.
Third, once the game was tied and in the 10th, why was a pinch runner not used when Hinske got on. Coco was available to run and he is a speed demon. Especially after Hinske got to 2nd base. Hinske struggles to score from 2nd on a single, while Coco scores standing up.
Fourth, and maybe the worst, what were you thinking in the bottom of the 10th Francona? With 1st and 3rd and nobody out in a tie ball game with the home team batting and the winning run 90 feet away, you walk the batter and load the bases to create a force play at home. None of the other runners even matter. Only the guy on 3rd base means anything. He scores...game over. Luckily, Tejada pops up, so now there is one out. Then the guy on 1st steals 2nd and it is 2nd and 3rd with one out. At this point, you have to be insane or a complete numnut not to walk Millar to load the bases. This gives you a force play at home and a potential double play to get out of the jam. What does the former Red Sox clubhouse goof do to his old team? That's right, he hits a 3-Run Dinger to won the game.
ARGH!! !! !! !! !!
I do not mind losing, but this game, and Friday's game, were blown...allowing two games to be gained in the standings.

I want to complain again about the people who got me removed from my program. Now they want to give me a "farewell" in Germany next month. How am I supposed to be around all of those people and not say what really happened? I do not have good impulse control and tend to speak the truth...very bluntly. Apparently, this was one of the reasons I was removed. There are a lot of good people I would love to see one last time, but this will be extremely hard unless I am drugged up.
Post 1997:
In 1997 I got married. Spent the spring before that touring with The Samples, since it was the last tour with the original lineup. Published an article in 9x Magazine, the free trade magazine for Plan 9 Records in Charlottesville, the second best record store in the world. Started to focus real well again at school in the Fall. Camped out for all three Star Wars Special Editions and spent all night and day and night watching the Original Trilogy in order three times, nine movies, once Return Of The Jedi was released. I was first in line and was interviewed on TV for having the first ticket.
Musical influences:
Agents Of Good Roots "Straightaround"
Depeche Mode "Ultra"
Eric B. & Rakim "Don't Sweat The Technique"
Green Day "Nimrod."
Helmet "Aftertaste"
INXS "Elegantly Wasted" - I actually got an advanced promo copy of this from the label through the many connections I had made. I was real upset when Michael was found dead. This album was good enough to put them back on the map.
The Samples "Transmissions From The Sea Of Tranquility" - Back on W.A.R.? after the fiasco on MCA.
Seven Mary Three "Rock Crown"
Slackjaw "Rider" - Too bad they didn't get noticed. At least they all had degrees from UVa. to fall back on.
U2 "Pop"
2 Skinnee J's "Sing, Earthboy, Sing!" - The 'Irresistible Force' is a classic.
