I don't drink. I don't feel I need it. Once or twice a year doesn't matter.

No, I don't drink often. It's not fun enough for the money.

I do it once in a while, I tend tó have one drink and then no more for the rest of the night.

I'd rather have a nice and refreshing Coca Cola than an alcoholic drink.

Cola is scratchy and sticky. Smooth is refreshing. :)

I don't drink alcohol because...

1) It tastes disgusting.
2) After giving myself alcohol poisoning when I was 15 or 16 I realized that since alcoholism runs in the family I should stop drinking just for the sake of getting drunk (which is what I used to do to self medicate).
3) & lastly, it's not vegan (well, most of it isn't).

There's plenty of other better tasting things to drink that wont make you lose control of your own behavior.

I occansionally drink a glass of wine wine (I'm allergic to some types of wine) or chocolate liquor, usually on Shabbos (Saturday) or a holiday.

Does that count?

That's why I home brew. :) I'm not a "pure" vegan I drink Guinness from time to time why they use isinglass in a dark beer is beyond me. I still consider it Kosher their are no traces of the isinglass in the beer, all that fishy gunk falls to the bottom of the holding tanks, what they do with those fishy bi products I do not know perhaps fertilizer?

Where do you draw the line?

Everyone in my family drinks, but usually in moderation. I'm the exception. I just don't like the idea of something that messes with my head.

That depends on what you drink and how much of it.

If you stick to low-alcohol drinks (say under 4%) you won't have that problem. There are some milds (dark, sweet, malty ales) that are made here that are under 3%. You'd need to drink quite a few to feel very drunk off them. This makes them perfect for lunchtime.
