My husband and I are going to take his DeLorean to the parade for the second year in a row.

Nice! I've always loved the DeLorean; functionally, not a very good car, but aesthetically, it's amazing.

Please tell me, though, that yours isn't all done up in 'Back to the Future' gadgetry. I mean, to each their own, but it always makes me cringe whenever I see a DeLorean at a car show decorated with all that junk. There's only so many variations of "Outta Time" I can see on a license plate before I start to steam.

I finally moved from a dead city of a hall into one with people I know.

Granted, they are not what I can call "friends", but at least I can work from there...

The painter I had at my house said, "Nice basket of fruit" when he looked in one of the rooms. I didn't know what he was talking about until I realised he was refering to my basket of stim toys:

I finished a series of Flash games and I was at my dad's house and that was really fun!

An actual happy one:

Got the same girls working with me in a lab practical. That... rarely happens, as I usually get the dregs of the class: the extremely quiet or the (excuse the bluntness) not so-bright-ones (DRIVES ME INSANE). These were surprisingly standard (in terms of behaviour, not physical appearance) girls. Tried to engage in conversation beyond work. Still bloody awkward.

Things are looking up...

I finally made a small start on one of the many things that I've been procrastinating on. I still have overwhelmingly many things to do and it's just a very small start but once I start, I may be able to keep going.

I heard about autistic inertia recently and that seems to be what's been controlling me all my life. I need to do something about it. Does anyone know how to deal with it?

This happened yesterday, but I finally got to spend time with my brother. We went out for lunch at one of our favorite restaurants and we got to have a fun, silly one-on-one conversation for maybe an hour and a half!

I really am glad I didn't go see him at our parent's house, because my dad needs new a hearing aid but is stubborn about wearing it, so pretty much everyone was yelling. My nephew even asked him if mom has any cotton swabs so he can clean his ears out. We're probably all joking about it more than we should. My brother told me that mom should trick dad into thinking he's lost his hearing completely by turning down the volume on the TV and radio, which might encourage to get a new hearing aid and use it, but she thinks that's really mean. I even joked to her today we might have to start learning sign language...
