Grades, grades, grades. Received back what initially seemed a terrible one for my last batch of uni work - 50% of which I didn't hand in - hence the marks, I thought. Then I really thought about it (sigh). 48% received for the 50% handed in.
Since returning to education I definitely pride myself on collecting distinction scores; I generally do well in exams and formal assessment, and know the drill well. It wouldn't have been long ago that a grade of 48% would have put me in a foul mood for weeks. Given the circumstances however, that I hadn't completed all the required reading and one upsetting November, I received comprehensive feedback, good advice and the knowledge my tutor is a goddess of mercy. Her compliments of my maths have made my week. It took a long time for me to return to where I am and I'm always constantly scared my maths skills are too low for even a bachelors of science, but my confidence is slowly returning.
