^ well, I haven't actually gotten off my arse yet, so your well wishes might be premature. :P
I need to find an interest that doesn't involve the internet.
I'm getting wi-fried here.

He he ok, It's close to 4.00 am here, so I (still) sort of have an execuse for not getting of mine. I have planned to go for a walk today, but a plan is not the same as doing it..

Any idea for what that interest will be?

^ Yes. I have trouble with both planning and execution.

I would like to do something creative again.
what that something will be is anyone's guess.
I miss making things.

^I don't think I can blame it on problems of planning and execution unfortunately. It's more lazyness and boredom. Anything I don't have a desire to do takes an effort to get going.

Yes something creative was actually what I was going to suggest. It's hard to loose the ability to do things you previously has been able to. I know. I'm having problems with my back, and my nose and eyes get dry and sore from the fumes from paint.

What about gathering things from nature, and making decorations?

^ What medium do you use?

I think you mourn a bit for lost ability, but I think you have to focus on what you can do.
Finely detailed work is a bit beyond me now, so I'll have to do something bolder.

Funny you should say that - I'm planning to gather some driftwood tomorrow and fashion a few things.

^I prefer using oils, and would only use oils if I could. I have tried several different things like; soft pastels, oil pastels, watercolour, acrylics, gluing pebbles and sea shells in combination with acrylics, charcoal, chalk and pencil drawing is what I can remember at the moment.

I wish I had your positve way of looking at it, maybe one day I will, maybe not.

That sounds nice! You can make many different things with driftwood :)

^ Have you tried the acrylic 'oil' paints such as Atelier? (Although I didn't find them particularly oil-like)

I've always loved the driftwood horses, even though they are quite creepy at the same time

^^^^oh, yeah you better belive it, and they smell like s**t they also (my nose reacts), and as you say they don't actually act as oils. At the moment I'm just using oils, maybe I can take some discomfert. You have to suffer for your pasions right :P
