A special offer on a four-pack of lager in my local Aldi:

Not too stunning a cut in price I'm sure you'll agree.

One pence, really?! That's not even a ten pence piece!
*digs for a photo but probably won't find a good one*

Just enjoying one of these at the moment. The brewery is far away from here; the beer's good, though. 4.3%.

My evening meal tonight was...

...a pseudo cheesesteak with oven chips, garlic mushrooms and a salad garnish. The idea is taken from Man v. Foodbut of course this variation is significantly altered: it uses English cheese; it has a salad garnish on the side; not all of the cheese has melted, plus oven chips rather than fries.

You used to live in the Azores? Wow! Would you mind sharing your experiences/photos?

Yes, I loved living there. It's so green and beautiful but it rains a lot in Winter probably not so unlike the UK. No, I don't mind but I need to take them to the photo dept at the store and scan them first. My scanner was broken in my last move. I'll probably be unpacking that box next week anyway. I have to warn you that they're older photos from the 80's and I'm not the best photographer. We were actually using an underwater camera made by Nikon for half of them. I believe those are the better looking ones.

If the weather permits I'm off out tomorrow to a nature reserve. Plenty of photos will be taken, some of which I'll post here. :)

It looks cool. I hope you all had fun and enjoyed yourselves, Grisha. :)

I wish I could go to Cali and see my (adult) children. :(
