I confess that quote pyramids annoy the crap out of me and, in my opinion, are completely unnecessary. Sometimes it is useful to go in as much as two deep but anything beyond that is unneeded. Just quote the person you're responding to. Delete the [ quote ] tags, it's easy.
Plus if your response is right below the one you are responding to, it is easily understood that you are replying to the person above you. It is only necessary to quote the person if they are a few posts back and you need to provide your readers with a reminder of what was said.
Quote pyramids just waste space and make threads take up more pages. If I were a mod I might be tempted to edit people's posts who use long quote pyramids and remove all the quotes other than the most recent (and only applicable) one.

I confess I did not finish my last semester at music school.
I really do appreciate music, but lots of interaction comes with it and I can't quite keep up. I watched my band do an end of year concert and it makes me regret leaving. It's much harder being a musician as an aspie, so I've kind of resigned (still try compose though). Hopefully I could come back to it as a neurotypical in another life

I confess that I hardly ever go to 'The Haven' anymore. I wish I could be supportive and say the right thing to help someone, but the sadness and desperation of some of the posts is more than I can stand. Sylkat
