I finished my second marathon (I don't run, I do it as hiking). I was one hour faster than last time. Wearing the right shoes definitively makes a huge difference.

I spotted a limping bird on a sidewalk and called the local Animal Rescue Service. They arrived in 10 minutes (sooner than a normal ambulance!) Turned out that the bird was a woodcock who would not have survived alone. They took him/her to a bird sanctuary one mile away. They said to me, 'Well done.' -- For a couple of minutes I felt someone needed me.
