My chest was hurting so much, so I had to sleep.

You'll be okay and adjust eventually when you get back. I have a brother who lives in Taipei and whenever he comes to visit the US he sleeps at odd times for the first week.

The first thing I'm going to do when I get back in eat at a Mexican restaurant. Oh goodness, that sounds so good right now. French food is so weird.

I learned that food in Taipei bears no resemblance to Oriental food in the US. For that watch Eat Drink Man Woman, which is a visually beautiful film where food is frequently featured. I love Tex Mex but when I was on a family vacation in Mexico I didn't see much resemblance either. I had Chicken Mole' once and was surprised to find out the Mole' was chocolate ( it was bitter).

I don't go for the Mexican stuff. I just eat the chicken, which is amazing. I haven't had good chicken in so long.

I am drinking Lady Grey Tea which I opened just now. It is nice. I learned today that Earl Grey tea is tea flavoured with bergamot, whereas Lady Grey is flavoured with citrus.

I might be too tired to do the right thing, which in this case would be to shut the cats out of my mother's office before Noodles voids his feline bladder on the strange art-nouveau-esque chair.
