They did until I got tired of my Magma->Lava Converter testing incinerating them with the goods inside and causing relations with nearby civilizations to sour.

Perhaps the Dwarves, or Dwarrow could consider a transporting deal with the local Gragon-Riders clan, to airlift their goods for a percentage of the profit.
