John West sardines in BBQ sauce, with boiled potatoes. The 'best before' date on the sardine can was June 2009, but they tasted fine.

my concern would be the oils in there, old oils generally are rancid even in a vacuum. i have some vintage 2004 food that i'm wondering if i should just give to the animals outside.
