Everybody's nice to each other in December and than they're nasty to each other in January. People show their stripes in January. I don't like it.

I have so much anxiety about going to work today. I shouldn't. Things have been better there lately (I hope I don't jinx it by saying that), so I don't know why I'm so anxious. Also, I just realized my birthday party is scheduled for Friday the 13th. I'm not incredibly superstitious, but I have bad luck with throwing parties (no one ever shows up). I'm pretty sure no one is coming to this one. I wonder if I'm the only one who has had multiple birthday parties where nobody came.

A project that I could share with others...

Maybe bug my mom and her job with it. It's not just easy, but also makes sense and even make profit when it comes to living.

TheSilentOne, awesome that things are going better at work. I'm curious about how that happened, if you don't mind sharing. If I recall, they had started being rotten to you.

Birthdays are awesome, if stuff actually works out. It's a real downer when a party turns into 2-3 people, assuming you're actually looking forward to the party that is. It also sucks when my friends from different places, and/or their significant others, dom't get along in a group. Like, I have a close friend who is socially awkward with women, that's an understatement, and it's caused problems. We've tried talking to him about it, but he still crosses the line. That's just one example.

Random annoyance of the day: some landline cordless phones are just obnoxious. And why on earth would someone make a cordless phone nowadays that doesn't let you change the screechy, annoying intercom ringtone?

prolly because people are so busy and preoccupied that the often fail to answer a nice police chirping ring tone, I know this was the case at a former workplace, in the hubbub of the warehouse people wouldn't notice the phone ringing so they gave it the nastiest "AAAAWWWWWWRRRRRRKKKKKKK!! !! !" sound they could, something which couldn't be ignored.

I own a baseball-style cap in the shape of Grumpy Cat. It's all fuzzy, has pointy ears and even a tail. I worry sometimes that I'll get laughed at for wearing it in public, but so far a lot of people have complimented on it. :)

I also have a Grumpy Cat t-shirt with the word NO in big letters. I like to wear them together. They also help to "go" with my general mood.

I'm typing more of my book. I'm also wondering whether it's okay for me to eat the last cinnamon bun, since my throat is sore.

LOL Auntblabby, probably. And yeah, a ringer that could be heard in a warehouse would probably be way more obnoxious, but in that case, it wouldn't be a complaint to the manufacturer. It would be a feature.

Kuraudo, I always feel bad about eating the last of anything, so don't ask me. LOL. Feel better anyhow.

I was thisclose to leaving, but I decided to give it another chance. The pay is excellent and my coworkers are great. I think my manager noticed how hard I work and how I always show up when I need to be there (and when I'm not going to be there, I let her know in advance). She has been very nice to me lately and actually has been complimenting my work. Maybe it is also because I am starting to get the hang of things there so I don't ask as many silly questions.
