It confuses me, the music can be great but the dancing/fighting thing just looks weird.

No. I'm generally disinclined to support war, even ones from which I've benefited from the outcome.

Do you think Victor Hugo's writing is relevant today? What 19th Century authors do you think are relevant to today's society?

I think that certain passages from Victor Hugo's books are relevant to today's society. He does like to make numerous reverences to the phenomena of his day and age though.

I've only been in two deserts: The Sahara and the desert outside Reno, Nevada. In fact on both occasions I encountered minor disasters. But on balance I preferred the Nevada one. (Nevadan?)
