My cat also ate them and cats are usually finicky about what they eat, so I saw that as a good sign.

^^^You're probably right. I havn't tasted them. I haven't tasted sardines for that matter. Maybe you mean these:



We have something called "makrell i tomat", which is mashed mackerel in a tomato saus. I like that very much:

People have some odd nicknames for food here.
A meat pie is called a "maggot bag".

Custard is called "chunder" (a slang word for vomit).

Milk is called "titjuice".

Well, here in the states there are some things that are quite weird in terms of names as well as the mere fact, some things which people eat are quiet strange. I can't think of anything off the bat but, I know in the state of Minnesota there is a Native American tribe which tends to eat things that most people would be repelled by.
