Was out in Preston today and took a few photos.

Boarded-up building. These are extremely commonplace in the city centre. A lot of shops have simply closed down due to no-one having any money to spend. Stores like Aldi and Home Bargains flourish though:

A view of a bakery stall overhead in the Indoor Market:

Two older women singing - really just murdering - songs on Preston's Flag Market. They were chuntering old Carpenters songs away whilst the state-funded stallholders all looked on:

The racket got just a bit too much so eventually I decided to go to the pub. I had a pint each of the beer on the left and the beer on the right:

Yes, that picture was taken in Krasnaya Polyana, near Sochi and where the 2014 Winter Olympics will be held. The only non-Russian is the American Aspie dork on the left. :wink:

Been to Blackpool today, to a miniature model village. It wasn't especially cheap to get in (£14 for two adults, plus an extra £2.50 if we had parked on their car park rather than just up the street) but it was a worthwhile experience due to the fact that we spent far longer here than I would have thought we were going to.

Here's some of the photos for this trip - this may be the start of a lot of similar photos!

Your not far from where my great grandfathers family came from in those pictures of Sochi. Do you have any more of Russia or the Caucassus Grisha?
