Whenever I first start obsessing over something, I feel as if I'll never know enough or get it all... but in no time I'm an expert in the area. xD

That's true. I remember a couple of months ago when I first started obsessing over My Little Pony, I felt like I would always be a noob about it. But now I feel confident in my knowledge about it.

It's just warm enough to be perfectly warm, not hot. Rarest of rare :D

I've recently taken interest in cleaning myself up :?. Which is odd, since I'm now single, and didn't pay much attention to it when I was with her... a regrettable thing really :?. I guess it's just weird because I have no intention of dating anyone else ever again... so I don't know why I should want to clean myself up :?. I've finally gotten enough interest in it though to go into those beauty isles men dread to go into for neutral of gender crap like grooming tools and face soaps and stuff like that :|

I guess it never hurts to like one's self image... so maybe that's why I'm doing it :?

A couple of months ago, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo was starting to become a special interest. But then, I stopped posting about it and I kept telling myself that it actually wasn't as good as I thought it was. I forgot about it until I saw an advertisement/notice on Xbox Live stating that the American movie is now on DVD. Then I remembered how much I used to like it and I started to "miss" it. I wondered why I had suddenly stopped liking it, and then I remembered another thing:

On another forum I used to post on, I was in a thread where you could discuss overrated things and someone wrote a nasty review of Girl With the Dragon Tattoo that slammed my favorite character. After reading that person's review, I started to feel ashamed for enjoying it and forced myself to quit obsessing over it. You see, as much as I would like to claim that I don't care what other people think, I do. I let other people's opinions affect what I like and don't like. Or more accurately, I let other people's negative opinions of the things I enjoy affect my self-esteem. I know this type of insecurity is unhealthy, and it's totally unwarranted now that I'm not of school age anymore and free from peer pressure.

But now I realize how stupid of me it was to stop liking something just because a total stranger said they didn't like it. You know what? I'm going to re-watch the first two Swedish Girl With the Dragon Tattoo movies, watch the 3rd one, and watch the American version too. I'm going to let myself fall in love with the main character, Lisbeth Salander, all over again. And the next time someone says they hate it or it's overrated, I'm just going to shrug it off and say, "Haters Gonna Hate".

I've started my high produce diet today. I can't wait to see how it goes. :)
