Nor was I... I could sworn the tune was there in the late 2000's? (it annoyed the hell out of me when my mum kept playing that tune).

I got an Atari ST for xmas in 1989 8)

That was probably more important then some wall being knocked down on the news back then. The news bulletins on tv used to have weird introductions back then. Electric lightning bolts zappng a strange stick thing...aload of blue coloured paper slamming down into the words six o clock news. And Channel 4's logo looked like aload of lego stuck in the shape of 4

Ah the days before 24 hour news coverage

The more I think about it, it occurs to me, that everything about me, is that of, the young Mick Avory. My mum brought it to my stubborn attention, 12 years ago. I thought, that I was just like Ray Davies, until she told me that.
