I don't know, but the statistics classes at my school do it. Even the regular classes.

Actually, it would probably be easier to count how many do NOT conduct surveys.

I guess I'm lucky. I mean, I'm a girl, and I have pushy Chinese parents. I happened to have grown up in a culture that strongly encourages right-handedness, when I am left-handed, and I did not have much difficulty with it. I have perfect pitch, a pretty good intuition with music, and play two instruments. I like to draw despite not having had a meaningful art class before. My family bought me many books and instilled in me a love of reading and science, and that's why I was able to find my interest in biology. I guess that the fact I got into MIT was the sum of all of these coincidences. Had I been a male, or born under different circumstances, I certainly wouldn't have gotten accepted. Everyone says that the male population at MIT is simply astounding in intelligence, while the female population is about average.

Certainly, sufficient work can disprove the anecdote at the bottom. Practically anyone can improve and acquire exceptional skills given enough effort.
