My goodness, E2LA. I can just imagine what your sports jersey and caps collection must look like by now. In total I have just 8 caps & hats. Yours must take the cake.

^ :D I started collecting jerseys in 2004 when I started with just baseball. In the ensuing decade, I've branched out to other sports, like hockey.

Oh, and I started my cap collection a year later, when I went to Philadelphia, to this store specializing in throwback sports gear, called Mitchell and Ness; got a 1980s-era Baltimore Orioles cap there. :)

Charity shops are great for original, old pieces of clothing I don't find in the fashionable shops anymore. Also worn in jeans, new jeans can be too stiff and it takes me ages to find any comfy enough. Jeans that have already been worn for a few years feel much nicer.

I scored a pretty georgette Table Eight dress the other day. it has shells sewn on around the neckline. I haven't even tried it on yet though. I just buy them, they're only $5, just donate it back if it doesn't fit.

I love the charity shops.

I bought 3 prints many years ago by an artist called Stephen Wiltshire.

I paid £6 for them and they're actually worth £100 each now.

I've just checked them out on his website.

It's probably the best purchase I've ever made.

I love op-shops (that's what they're called in Oz; short for "opportunity shops" – I kid you not). They're good for casual clothes. Most of my wardrobe at uni came from there. :P

We've got one here, and everything is 99p each.

You can get a vintage leather biker jacket for 99p.

People wouldn't believe you if you told them. I can hardly believe it myself.

I hope that I can find more great stuff on my thrifting adventures in 2014! :D

Oh, and when I get what I like @ a thrift store, I am all like "Know what you've got; you have found a great treasure!'

I've done it again. I found an Albuquerque Isotopes cap for $6!

I'd still love to know where I can pick up a clothing voucher in Seattle for a thrift shop. (I did it when I used to live in NY. They had furniture vouchers from the DSHS, too).

Well, my last thrifting journey of 2013 came up fruitless. Eh, well, maybe I'll come back in a week or two in 2014 for more new and exciting things! :D

Going to head to another Value Village on Wednesday. I hope I can find some good things there then.

So I go to one of the thrift stores near where my dental office is; and it yields a Trivial Pursuit: The Game Show (yes, there have been a couple incarnations of TP as a game show, this one comes from 1993-4) board game for $2. It is complete. Not bad for two bucks.......
