Yes, we know he's #3...

I've heard them already saying 'the king', and lots of other people saying it too. Times they are a-changing... :?

Charles II looks eerily like Charles III

Oh yes, with my spectacles on there is a difference. Probably just the nose and ears that resonated.

Indeed. It's not like there needs to be a differentiation considering the reigns of KCII and KCIII are 337 years apart. Not quite the same as having to differentiate between which President Bush is being talked about.

In this portrait I think King Charles II looks a lot like Vincent Price:

What image is there of Charles II where his ears can be seen?

Since Queen Elizabeth was often surrounded by corgis which sort of served as her mascot, what pet (or group of pets) would make a good mascot for King Charles?

The image I saw of Charles II was stylised. In this one he certainly looks different but is that a wig he's wearing?

It's a wig. But in all the portraits I've seen of him, even ones of him as a child, if he wasn't in a wig he had really long hair covering his ears. It's like exposed ears were taboo back then.

Everyone wore wigs in the time of Charles II, in fact for a lot of history. I think it was to cover up that the majority of people had serious illnesses which made their hair fall out, so everyone wore wigs as a general solution.

Charles II does look like Vincent Price, they've said that before  I love the fact that the English got fed up with the Puritans, threw them out and went to fetch Charles II back from France because they wanted some debauchery instead of the boring Puritans!

I saw a photo of him and Camilla holding their rescued dogs, two Jack Russells.

I vote for falcons. The new king should bring back falconry.
