After many years of not understanding how people have low self-esteem, I have seen the light... It's awful, I need to get back to where I was and fast.

Yes the realization that yourself is probably a pretty bad person is a hard pill to swallow. But here is next step in processing low self-esteem. When you identify that yourself is a problem, then you should eventually realize that everyone has had these thoughts too. So what sucks for you, has sucked for a good majority of the people. The best part is when you continue to dwell on it and you realize that for every screwed up thing we have done, every single other person has probably done as bad or as poorly as we have at some point and time and some of these people have high self-esteems. So here is the million dollar thought, if other people can make mistakes and have a high self-esteem, does that mean yourself can't have at some point a high self-esteem?

I like being deep in thought,

I did not sleep well last night. I kept waking up for some reason I don't know.

Yep, I am usually one of those people with high self-esteem, pretty much on the grounds that you have said :? .
I know I fail at stuff, but I know other people fail at stuff too so in the grand scheme of things it's not so bad... It's just that this time my failures (social, communicative) have made somebody else's life bad, and they let me know about it, which was their right. So now, yeah, low self-esteem for the first time in a long time (possibly ever) because I've actually done some damage to another person. Feels bad :(

Also, I know you've expressed that you're bad at communication, but for what it's worth you just made me feel better/understood :) .

I went for a walk today & I couldn't walk as far as usual because I got worn out. Maybe it's because I didn't sleep well last night or because I had a long walk yesterday.

My girlfriend left early this morning to spend the weekend at her parents. When I woke up I found her cat had spit up in 5 places & had vomited which was probably a hairball so I had a mess to clean up.

Sorry, that made me laugh but must have sucked for you.
I drove all the way out onto the plains for gear only to find the army surplus was shut, even though the website had said they were open. Grr.

It's OK. It doesn't bother me now.
That sux. Hopefully they'll be open next time you go. I wonder if you can complain on the website.

Brain fog.

But that's been making me unhappy for the past 3 years.

Yesterday what was left of Hurricane Matthew hit us and it was the worst storm I've seen in forever. Last night I was uneasy when I went to bed because it felt like the walls were shaking and were going to crumble, and the sound of the storm raging. It's the day after Thanksgiving but it doesn't look like if anything is open or not. My parents are staying home from work and I had to cancel my grocery shopping today. I hope I don't run out of anything before tomorrow.

I'm very lucky however, because I never seem to lose power even during a really big storm, but last night the lights flickered so much it got annoying. There are thousands of people without power right now. I wasn't even aware that many people even lived in this city. I'm very very lucky this was more of an annoyance than a disaster.

Being at the doctor's office to get my TB test. I don't want to be around sick people anymore than I have to.
