I often wonder how many people whom might be on the spectrum historically that is from persons that can be searched about on the internet? I'm sure that there is a great number of autistic people that lived centuries back, but for reasons unknown did not become famous nor did they live a pleasant life either.

^Some think Ludwig Wittgenstein was autistic. I have read a book about him, and I think it fits very well.

SIX more weeks of winter? I don't know how I'm going to survive that...

Let's go to Gallifrey and find one with a knackered navigation system

The very notion I might be on the spectrum... it's not a notion I feel I should be giving a thought, and yet... it's something I've wondered about for the last 7 1/2 years. I keep looking and I'm not seeing it at all nor do I find myself relating to anyone that actually is (and any time I think I do, it's just some random minor thing not even worth highlighting). Additionally, this was an idea presented back in the mid 90s (unbeknownst to me until 14 years later), a time where a fair bit of misdiagnosing was done (and in my case due to a lack of money, none pursued). Every time I eventually come to the conclusion that it's better to say I'm not and actually be on there than it is vice versa, and I leave it alone for a while until curiosity starts getting the better of me again. It's all a cycle that I'm still deciding when and how to break.

I can remember wishing for spring/summer to hurry up, yet also wishing for snow days.

SentientPotato, i'm a little confused. Are you saying that you're not going to pursue a diagnosis? If that's the case, then what if you just focus on traits, or strengths and weaknesses? You don't need a diagnosis to ask questions or relate to people after all, and we're all human anyway.

IMO the group otherwise known as "aspies" is linked by some common mental, psychological traits, but outside of that there's an incredibly vast possibility for diversity. just as much as "NT"s. i've met some people on here who come off as very much ASDlike, and i cannot relate to them at all no matter how hard i try. i've also met some others who are just like twins. that's just the way it is. i wouldn't expect the ability to relate to those who have broken arms merely because they have broken arms, but that might be a crap analogy.

it doesn't mean it's impossible you're on the spectrum.
