Well, I'm having a great valentines Day. We exchanged love notes, watched the waves roll in under a shady tree, had lunch...and that's where the PG session ends so I'll leave it right there.

It was meant to be reassuring, but I think my message got lost somewhere in that tangled mess. Oh well.

trying to get my language out there and exposed. i figure making it onto the conscripts for conlangs section of omniglot.com is worth a try, and within my abilities.

one of my biggest hurdles is making the alphabet chart all entries are required to have. it basically depicts graphemes of yours, in your order, corresponding to their phonetic value in the IPA, and the name for them in their language. the owner of the site provided a premade excel spreadsheet for the purpose, but i'll need to tweak it quite a bit in order to suit my writing system, and i don't even have excel on the computer i'm using to edit the images. plus, i've never used the damn thing. i just played with it as a kid, trying to find the cell limit.

the other big hurdle, which i have now overcome, was actually developing the language enough to be able to translate a sample phrase. he prefers article 1 of the UN declaration of human rights, and while anything else can fly, i wanna make sure my chances are as high as possible. when i first considered submitting this, i hardly had a lexicon expansive enough to translate any phrase i thought of. it's much better now, i can tranalate the declaration and a lot of other things without losing too much meaning, but i still surprise myself at the number of gaps i find.

i hope it'll be accepted. i'll even record myself reading it.

How over certain things I am. I was going through my deviantart to clear some of my mesaages when I saw I had a note. Panic instantly set in because the only time I've ever really gotten any is from a former friend. ...let's just say I made a series of bad decisions and said person understandibly wants nothing to do with me at this point, so my mind was instantly thinking something had happened and she was coming to chew me out. I hesitated checking it out, but I did so anyway finding it was some random new account promoting their stuff. But just the fact that I was freaking out makes me wonder if I've actually moved on... I've had nearly 2 1/2 years to get over it, so I should've done so already.

I don't know how to factor.
