I love those apple pictures and snapshots from the grocery store. I think I'll have an early supper. :D

Also for sale were bottles of the most delicious apple juice, produced in Cheshire. It's that good that I plan on having a drive out there soon to buy some more of them.

Oh, and a bottle of "Malta Guinness", a non-alcoholic malt drink produced from Guinness extract. Imported from Nigeria and bought in the tiniest little African shop I have ever seen - this was about the only genuinely African thing in it!

It was the nicest malt drink I have ever had, and certainly the most palatable as all the other ones I had I could never finish. Not bad at all. £1 for a 330ml glass bottle.

I know what you mean. I tried only one non-alcoholic malt drink. It was also my last. It was from somewhere south of the (I'm in the USA) border. It was called "Hatuy." I'm not sure of the spelling, but I think they had to name it that because of truth in advertising laws. A good example of onomatopoeia.

Yes, this is very sweet and not unpleasant, although it's probably not something you'd want to drink a lot of.

"Hatuy" sounds like a fine name for a drink under the circumstances.

Should we go for some photos of beer bottles? I think we should...

BrewDog Hardcore IPA. A feisty beer, for sure. 9.2%.

Image

See the head on that? That's what it looks like right out the bottle! I was immediately disappointed when I saw this. It's like a watery Harviestoun Schiehallion. A very flat watery Harviestoun Schiehallion. Not up to Harviestoun Brewery's high standards at all. A very mediocre watery indistinct mess of a beer. 4.1%.

Image

Nice beer. A traditional ale, slightly sweet, using heather as in the beer's name. Not bad at all. 5%.

Image

A reasonable beer - reminded me of Moorhouses Blond Witch possibly? Similar, anyway. 4.4%.

Image

Decent beer but nothing outstanding, much like the (slightly-different in both content and slightly lower ABV) [orter that this brewery also produces for Sainsbury's. 5.2%.

I remember that movie. It's a great movie. :)

I'm looking forward to Christmas because I've bought something for my niece a couple months back. I also like everything else about it. :)
