Hmm, I never thought of myself living in the 'country' but perhaps I do. Near it at least. For the longest time I dreamed of escaping somewhere truly remote and unpeopled

It gets further away with every Barratt estate they throw up.

I know I sound like a broken record when I say this but you really need to use the exposure compensation meter on your camera. I don't know what sort of camera you use (the EXIF data was stripped from the final photo) but if it's in any way half decent it should have an EV meter that will stop your photos looking overexposed.

Aside from that, good photos Henbane. :)

Nice! :D
I tend to go more for textures, but I have some incorporating patterns:

Palm trunk.

Ancient stone carving (Saxon, IIRC) at Ely Cathedral.

Some photos taken at Barton Grange Garden Centre today.

An Aga cooker - but don't touch it though, it's very hot!

The wall clock would go great with my vintage stuff.

I also like the bedroom display, though I'd be afraid to sleep in such a fine bed. I wouldn't want to sweat in it.

I don't think I'll be able to make it to Canada this year. I'm really sorry, but my dad is away in Scotland during the time we'd be going for our trip. It's a pity as I really wanted to do Vancouver.
