We are a band of states, native to our soil.

Fighting for our liberty with blood and toil.

And when we were threatened

The cry rose near and far

Hurrah for our flag that bears a shining Star!

Hurrah! Hurrah!

For Our blood hurrah!

Hurrah for our flag that bears the shining star!

As long as the Republic was faithful to her trust

Like friends and like brethren, kind were we, and just

But now, when Royalist Treachery attempts our rights to mar

We hoist on high our flag that bears a shining star!

Chorus

First gallant Peter State nobly made the stand.

Then came Hampshire and took her by the hand.

Next, quickly Rockland, and York

All raised on high the flag that bears a shining star.

Chorus

Ye men of valor gather round the banner of the right.

Jersey and fair Spotsylvania join us in the fight.

Creedon, our loved President, and Hitchins statesmen rare

Now rally round the flag that bears a shining star.

Chorus

Then here's to our Republic, strong we are and brave.

Like patriots we'll fight, our heritage to save

Than rather submit to shame, die we would prefer.

So cheer for the flag that bears the shining star!

Chorus

Then cheer, boys, cheer, raise a joyous shout!

For Pittsylvania and Carolina now have both gone out,

And let another rousing cheer for Kentwood be given,

The single star of our flag has grown to be eleven.

Chorus

Feeling sad because we have lost one of the lambs, Annie, the newborn. I was feeding them this morning when I noticed there were only 5 lambs, and when I went into the greenhouse to have a look for her, she was taking her last breaths. :( :( :( :( :(

The lamb we got yesterday, Doll, has lost her mother too, she was looking after her until she no longer could. Doll is doing better but has had a crook stomach and malnutrition as the mother didnt have milk left for her. She is now drinking well but still has a crook stomach. We have more hope for her as she seems to be gaining in strength.

(((((((((Taupey, CockneyRebel))))))) poor Annie did not have long on this planet. I wonder if there is a heaven for sheep, or whether she will be reincarnated. I was looking forward to feeding her and getting to know her...
