The wall clock would go great with my vintage stuff.

I don't think I'll be able to make it to Canada this year. I'm really sorry, but my dad is away in Scotland during the time we'd be going for our trip. It's a pity as I really wanted to do Vancouver.

That's okay. It's still a nice clock to look at. :)

I was quite annoyed with my dad.

Surely there must be quite a few shops in Vancouver, probably in Victoria especially, that sell loyal tat like a Union Jack clock?

ictus75, what is that in your first image?

It's a light fixture from a hotel I was staying in in Baltimore, MD.

@Cornflake - nice photos. I love the last one.

@Tequila - I'd love a clock like that.

Those are interesting photos Teq. It's always fun to see what people in different countries like. I used to love that movie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang when I was young child. I haven't thought about it in years. :)

Some photos taken at Barton Grange Garden Centre today.

I think I used to go there with my mum when I was a teenager.

What, the one at Barton or the Bolton one?

They've moved the one at Barton up the A6 a bit to a purpose-built place at Brock now. The Barton Grange hotel is still where the original garden centre was but everything else has been moved up the road.

The new, expanded place features a café, restaurant, sweet shop, farm shop, a cookware section and much more.

ictus75 and Taupey - thanks a lot, by the way.

I don't know if this has been on here before but here's a very quick and dirty old photo from 2008. It is of the Sheraton hotel in the central part of Toronto:
