This song almost always makes me cry whenever I listen to it... It's not sad, just really, really beautiful...

Through changes in circumstance over the last couple of years, I found, I am most comfortable living with relatively few material possessions.

If only I didn't play electric guitar, and could convince myself toward playing acoustic, I could move about freely with just a suitcase and a guitar case >_>

When I was in college I wrote three books - The Robin, I'm Not A Carpet and Scream With the Rhythm. They were all basically collections of poems, short stories and artwork.

I have synaesthesia, of the sound into shape variety. It adds to my experience of music, especially classical Western composers and classical Indian music, because I associate shapes with the melodic lines as well as with the specific timbres of individual types of instrument (the opening bars of Beethoven's Fifth look like morse code (dot dot dot dash) in red on black but -- due to the string tones involved -- morse code that was painted by a Japanese calligrapher's brush, with little characteristic upflicks at the end of each stroke) . But it interferes somewhat in everyday life from time to time because unexpected very loud or harsh sounds (which strike me more harshly than others anyway, thanks to my AS) impinge upon my body like physical objects. The sound of squealing brakes, for example, is like being pressed bodily into an egg-slicer, and produces a reaction that must seem frankly demented to onlookers.

I gather that synaesthesia is quite common among people with AS, but if there's a thread on the subject I've yet to come across it..

My mind seems to be fixated on sports often lately.
