When I visited Donegal in 1990 it was mashed spuds with everything.

"Will you be having mashed potatoes with that?"
"Yeh... go on..."

I was veggie at the time... mashed potatoes with an omelette was a bit weird, and I had it every night, no other choice.

We are having roast lamb with mash tonight.

I have visitors and that is what they wanted.

So be it.

Amen.

Yeah I love lamb and mint sauce :)

Mum has basically made her house vegan so when I go over there I don't get meat.

Get it when I go out and here but I don't get lamb here, I can't cook and don't have an oven. Just chicken and stuff in ready meals.

I'll have to try the baguette thing today.

I had prawn and egg sandwich for lunch, it tasted weird. The woman ignored my request for egg mayonnaise and made up her own order...

I was going to do beans on toast for tea but turns out I don't have a tin  so sardines or egg on toast.

Tomorrow bolonaise but with lentils as I've cut out meat except sea fish.

It was reduced in Morrisons - £6.80 which worked out at £4 per kilo. Cheap as chicken.

Yeah, my bro made a lush sarnie with it last night and put all sorts in it.

Also got a bacon joint for £1.25.

£6.80 8O that's good. There isn't a Morrisons near me :(

Britain has something that Germany doesn't have. The Kinks and The Beatles.

Would the US ever rejoin the British?
Americans are ex-British people, speak the same language, could they be reaccepted into the British people?

An American just joined the British royal family. And Americans seem to like their British Allies

Make America British again?

America and Britain have very different cultures. I would vote no to this!

I agree with biscuitman.

also although there are many British things about America, the people (generally) seem much more more Germanic in attitudes than British.
