Denis Istomin rose three more spots in the rankings to #77. Nice to see him doing so well!

some good spices were on sale at the grocery store today, so now the spice cabinet appears sufficiently filled enough with seasonings, spices, pastes, oils, vinegars, and cooking wine(have been buying such things for it here and there) to try making some of the food in a previously bought japanese cookbook(not the most simple recipes, those within)... a couple months ago, all that was in it was a loud can of black pepper, a near empty bottle of olive oil, and a shaker of potassium salt-substitute, so the drastic contrast between then and now, and the promise of learning to cook new things, is rather pleasing.

A friend sent me an e-mail with cute animal pictures, primarily featuring cats, my favorites.

Had my eye on a skirt since before christmas - patiently bided my time - managed to get it today at literally 10% of it's original value in the sales. I can't afford much on clothes so that was a real win.

that's a healthy way to deal with anger. "be angry and sin not." nobody gets hurt.

I found an old, local darkroom and processed my own black and white film that I shot this week. Had to take a refresher course, as it's been quite a while since my last experience. Getting back into film photography has been invigorating, to say the least. May never go back to digital, apart from occasional smart-phone photo ops.

At my tennis lesson today, there was talk of going to an actual tennis tournament-Indian Wells, California. That would be really exciting. To think, my dream might actually come true. I would love to meet Denis Istomin.
