my sister showed me her fancy new fifth wheel trailer today, which is about as large as the tin can I live in now. :o

One of my favorite tennis players, Juan Carlos Ferrero, is 37 today.

I will be singing in the choir at both services in church today and will be going to a Valentine's Day dance there in the evening. Looking forward to all of it!

i went to see the lake today. the level has doubled with the rain we've had this winter, and it shows.


i mean...7% to 15% is hardly something to party about, but it's encouraging. i hope it will continue....


50cm (or is it inches?) of rain left until full capacity. that's assuming it doesn't drain any more.

pine needles and fir needles, my tin can is surrounded closely by overhanging trees whose branches drop needles onto my roof just as surely as god made little green aliens. :alien: I have to, once per season, when the rains let up, get up there and clean out those gutters and clean off all the tarry piles of waterlogged needles before they eat holes in my roof and cause my gutters to overload.
