The entire ecosystem of the Earth would be removed and replaced with one that had been purpose designed in such a way that evolutionary pressures would naturally tend more towards cooperation and general niceness than they do at present. I'm fairly confident that could be done, certainly for a (geologically) short term.

Humanity would not exist as at present; a dramatically smaller (and emphatically not geometrically increasing) number of human-like intelligences would be present in bodies which had no physical needs (shelter, food, healthcare, sex) as such; call 'em robots or angels or whatever, it doesn't really matter. I'd like to be one of them. Our sole purpose would be to enjoy the scenery, explore the place and make nice stuff for the fun of it, for as long as we felt like it.

That'd be my heaven.

There'd still be some sort of forum for which we could all gather to complain endlessly with no solution in sight about the scenery and how what I created just for fun was so much better than what that other guy made...right?

heheh, J/K. I like your take and sign me up!

Ugh, I wouldn't recommend moving to Florida. The weather is miserable year round there. At least around the Orlando area (aka the most popular area in Florida) Take it from an American who knows.

I almost agree with you.
I certainly wouldn't recommend moving to Florida.
Really. Everyone. Don't move here. You won't like it. It's anything but a paradise, and we're not keeping some awesome secret. Stay away.

However, the weather is not miserable year-round.
From November through March, it is usually quite nice. Much like Springtime in more temperate locales. Northern Florida is cooler and gets regular freezes during the winter. South Florida is warmer and more tropical. Central Florida (where I am) is a mix of both. The only reason I like it here is that I can basically garden year-round. Many plants here never really go into winter dormancy. Green is good.

What would be my perfect life...

I'd live in some English speaking country with the girl I'm mad about, in a pretty big house. I'd live for her, and try to make her the happiest person in the world with every breath I draw. I'd have a Steinway piano for good measure. I'd be a millionare, who has Masters and phd's in a few medical fields. I'd be a respected and talented doctor, and no-one would give a crap about my ineptitudes because I'm able to prove myself in other ways. I'd own a few nice cars, A Challenger II tank, a Scorpion Tank, and a arsenal of mortars, AT guns, rifles and grenades.

I'd own an medium sized abandoned town, and every once in a while I'd jump in a tank, and me and my friend would go down there and just blow stuff up. I can only imagine how fun it must be driving a tank through you're old school. I'd probably spend a bit of time alone too, just sleeping out in abandoned buildings and stuff, I always thought that would be sweet, I know how creepy those buildings can be at night.

I'd like to tour Russia on a Goldwing, that'd be fun. I'd also like to do really random stuff, like break into my old school at night and let in a hundred chickens, the boredom of that place was soul crushing and tbh I like making people ask "wtf?", it's pretty satisfying. If anyone got on my bad side, I'd hire a crowd of twenty naked morbidy obese men to follow them around for the rest of their lives, and when the person getting stalked inevitably asks why they are following him I'd tell them to say nothing, and keep on following. Oh the lols...

I guess that all sounds kind of weird, and a little more psychotic than everyone else's fairly realistic dreams. To each his own I guess!

To be honest my life would be perfect if I had an other half that understands me, wouldn't everyones?

Yes!! I always thought that would be so cool :D

I'd live in a big old cottage in the forest, but also not too far away from the city. And I wouldn't mind living near a derelict building or house so I could make it my own hiding place I can just relax in and take a look around.
I'd live with either 1/2 best friends or a boyfriend (I don't want to get married) and about 2/3 kids.
I'd have a good job either in psychology or as a book illustrator, and I'd be well known for it but not full blown famous.
I'd have a small group of loyal friends that I will stay with forever, and I won't go through phases of having loads to none contiously like I seem to now.

I would live in the north of the USA with my not-yet-husband and all my plushies. While we would live quite a distance away from civilization, I could reach it whenever I wanted by a computer-driven car (I have no driver's license and am not actually roadsafe). I would telecommute as programmer and Boris would also have a job he likes doing (not working for something can make you lazy, working can be a good source for indirect human interaction with people and of a sense of accomplishment).

Technology would make it possible for me to live without glasses and contacts (waking up and immediately seeing a clear picture is one of my dreams and has been for as long as I can think). It also would make the back pains of my not-yet-husband go away. We would have fast internet access and good computers to use it. I would have learned Russian to a conversational level and my not-yet-husband would have learned German that much, so we are able to speak the native language of each other.

$2000 a day, a portable house in a capsule a-la Dragonball Capsule Corp, and a teleporting device for each of my friends. Oh, and law immunity (for traveling purposes).

I have a child as well as responsibilities to other people that I can't exactly ignore if I have a conscience at all.

Otherwise I'd do it today.

Oh sorry, I didn't know you had commitments, it would be wrong just to vanish with responsibilities like having a family and whatnot :)

A girl who gets me, in a house that fits me.

Optionally...
A lab, robotics, chemistry, etc.
A really interesting house (think resident-evil-style hidden stuff, secret passageways, etc.)
A helicopter.
A Massive underground complex.
Holding my own festival a la ozzfest.

Hmmmmm... the perfect life. Let's see... OK

My older sister would not give me hell and hound me about everything.

Same with my younger sister except she wouldn't be the control freak she is.

We would express our religion more freely in public schools. I once wore a shirt with the 23rd Psalm on it and was yelled at a teacher. I never wore that shirt again until I left the 8th grade.

The media wouldn't go nuts every time something happened.

All those cartoons kids used to watch in the '90's would still be broadcasted.
After school and Saturday morning cartoon blocks would make a huge comeback. I remember waking up at 7 AM every Saturday to watch Power Rangers
