personally, i think _every single_ show tv3 has, to be completely devoid of all mental quality.
i do keep it on, for mindless entertainment and background buzz. i switch on nrk for quality, and i always get it. i am never dissapointed. maybe you are put off by boring titles in the tv guide or something. the programming is always top quality, in my opinion.
I never go by the title of a program, that would be idiotic. I judge their content. Is it something I'm interested in? The answer is almost always no. Checking today's program I only see 2 things of interest. Spiderman 2 on TV3, which I already have on DVD, and the series "A haunting" (or is it "Haunted"?) on TVN. Not too nuts about the American version, I think there's too much "evil" and demons and possessions. The Norwegian version was way better, IMO.
Like I said, I find most of the stuff on NRK boring, but that doesn't mean that I'm terribly impressed by the other channels. I'm so sick of reality! I look forward to the new seasons of "Lost", "Fringe", "My name is Earl" and hopfully more "Åndenes makt". I wish TV3 would do reruns of "Tremors" (the series) and "The Twilight Zone", so I could record them.
I'd never use TV3 for background buzz, it's way too noisy and tiring. If I want something on in the background, I'd pick Animal planet. Or Discovery channel. Or the radio. On low volume. Now that's something NRK is rather good at! The programs I don't like still make nice buzz, while many other radio stations are so noisy. I always make sure not to miss "Verdt å vite" on P2.
