I enjoy a lot of the standard Beethoven and Mozart.
I also like Bach, Handel, and Vivaldi.
Earlier stuff, Baroque and Renaissance music, appeals to me more than the later, more complex romantic and modern classical music.

And that is just Western classical.

My heartfelt favorite is Indian classical music:

i'm borderline obsessive about the Great Beethoven. :) especially chamber stuff. also liking lots of others like not least Mozart. and Indian classical means a lot to me too .. both the northern Hindustani and the southern Carnatic traditions.

Yes, I like many classical composers and my favorites are Chopin and Bach. Chopin for the mood and Bach for the mind. Especially during work.

You know what they say, if it ain't Baroque, don't fix it :D

I like it, but don't have any real favorites. Russia's 'Sliver Age' music, standard classical, Bach, the 'standards'.

Yes!! !!

Ravi Shankar's one of my all time favorites.
He's one of the reasons why I got so obsessed with the sounds of the sitar.

I guess he'd be one of my top classical composers..... :?

the 2nd movement is kinda boring though. So at like 2:35 I usually skip to 4:46

Yes, I've always loved Classical music. Meaning European Classical, and Indian. Some of my favorite composers are Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Ravel, Bach, and Purcell. I also like beautiful movie soundtracks, too numerous to mention.

I like classical music and the idea that a lot of modern music is actually based on classics.
Some of the best known examples are 'All By Myself' which is based on Rachmaninov,
'A Whiter Shade Of Pale' by Procul Harum and 'Lady Lynda' by the Beach Boys which were both
inspired by Bach.
Many football fans in UK who sing 'You'll Never Walk Alone' are blissfully unaware it comes
from the musical Carousel and will no doubt one day be viewed as classical.Another football
chant was originally a Russian folk song which became 'Those Were The Days'.

Yes, I've liked Classical music for a very long time now, probably cause of the fact, it was played during the time I was a child..Basically, classical music happened to be the only thing that would get me to calm down as a toddler and all and today it also helps me to relax as well along with listening to Native American music too..I thought your post was quite interesting..
