When I saw this topic, my first thoughts were of synesthesia and indigo children. I wondered if anyone had mentioned that yet. I know there are people who can see colors come from people, my one NT friend can do this, I can not, I wish I could though... it sounds neat. I find it all very fascinating.

:lmao:

I *love* the indigo people theory. almost as ludicrous than the lizards from space who rule the Earth theory.

excellent. please do continue.

Heh heh. Oh I love the reptile thing... have you heard the ones that throw the Masons into the mix? Oh lawd... they all throw the poor Masons into the mix though don't they... Don't tell on me now, but off the wall notions are a guilty pleasure of mine. Shhhh... I never said I was sane.

Not exactly .. but I have something that may qualify. I kind of just have an indescribable "feel'" about people that I notice much more than their physical appearance. In my dreams, people do not have physical details but are just entities who I instinctively "know" who they are. That is kind of how I see people irl.

So for that reason someone's physical appearence can be colored by their "feel". I once knew a guy who was a real jerk but people would talk about how he was attractive... but I just couldn't see it because I saw him as this evil black-skinned creature. (not black in the african way, but literally black). And I have also known someone who was just constantly backlit from a golden light in my vision of them because I just thought they were the best thing ever.

So.. make of it what you will.

No I can't and you can't either. Those who see auras probably have synesthesia. You might be perceiving smells or sounds or shapes as colors.

No, but I wish I could. It would make it easier to tell who is evil and who is good.

I can see colors around people, and just a faint outline around other objects like trees, toast, etc. I don't think it has much to do with background colors, either, because I've repeatedly checked out my own in a mirror against a plain white wall, wearing different colors, and it's always a clear green. I've seen others that range from golden to deep purple.

I genuinely do not understand how people can just write it off. Either I am lying, which I'm not but I guess that's not verifiable, or I'm crazy, which may or may not be verifiable. Still, everything emanates energy, so why the hell wouldn't one be able to see it? Doesn't have to be some big woo-woo thing. Just because we don't have a scientific explanation for it yet doesn't mean it's a figment of somebody's imagination. Before we knew what rainbows were, were they just someone sniffing too much glue? Oh, right, they were made of Skittles then. Taste the rainbow.

I'm pretty sure everybody can, it's just a matter of, like someone said, relaxing your eyes and focusing a little differently. Like those hidden pictures that were really popular some time back? Or maybe I was just tasting the wall or hearing the frame or something.

LOL, you. I suspected as much. Maybe we should start a thread about being a little bit psychic as well. Then we can throw rotten eggs at the haters together.

Not that skeptics are bad people...

Can you explain what you mean by that?

Kitten you are not lying and you are not crazy.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia

This isn't paranormal or psychic either because there is no such thing. Your brain percieves the world differently. That's all.

I can't even tell if people are joking half the time, let alone if they have been playing in a toxic waste pit. I would most likely freak out if I saw a bunch of glowing people walking around.

I know that the human eye cannot see everything.. I saw a lot of auras around people when I was in the military, a infrared night vision scope helped.

:lmao: AN/PVS-7 is the bee's knees dude. I wish I could afford one.

But no, what they see isn't at all percieved by their eyes. Instead, the brain is interpreting the signals from the senses differently.
