I've been to Norway, and I learnt there that Norwegians make Swedes the butt of a lot of their jokes, similar to how you get "Englishman, Irishman and Scotsman" jokes in Britain.
(All good-natured stuff, of course.)

I've never been to Sweden, and I don't know if Swedes return the compliment.
(Maybe they make jokes about the Finns instead?)

Maybe, but as far as I know the Swedes are the butt of jokes in both Norway and Finland.

One of the best jokes I ever heard was from a Finnish dude, it was making fun of some stupid Swedish song/dance and the end result was the Finnish and Norwegian guys throwing the Swedish guy out of a helicopter.

I thought Freia was a Norse goddess? or was that Freja?...;)

I've often thought the essence of American Liberalism was to be as much like Scandanavia as possible...;)

I think black metal appeals to me more than death metal.

My Swedish friend says that Swedes make fun of Norwegians as well. :P

Anyway, I'd rather live in Sweden because 1) one of my best friends lives there 2) I've already learned a little swedish and 3) I don't like chocolate so I don't care where Freia is anyway.

Norway every time. Sweden is boring, boring, boring, travel 10 miles anywhere and you've seen the whole country.

Takk.

I'll just mention something that is completely irrelevant to modern conditions, but pretty cool/uncool nevertheless - Sweden was a Great Power once upon a time.
