It motivates me, as well. I want to have 30,000 posts by the time the Olympics come on TV.

OMG! Why didn't I know about the games section earlier? I actually thought it was talking about games. I would've been at over 500 posts if i knew earlier.

Despite my moderately high post count it doesn't interest me. If anything it horrifies me a bit because I think of all the time I've wasted on here where I could be doing something more profitable such as studying or turning out more £software. The count amuses me momentarily when it hits a round 1,000 figure but there have been times such a number has come and gone and I've never noticed it.

Never. I don't even know what my post count is, except that it's somewhere over 10K, and lower then 12K. Damnit, now i have to go look.

EDIT: Holy crap, I remember hitting 10K, quite a few months back, and thought I had more than what i do now. Man, I've been slacking.LOL

Sort of. Except that I try to not post unless I've got something meaningful to say. Posting in the Games/Quizzes section feels like a waste of posts... and a waste of time.

Being obsessed with post count alone is likely to cause you to spam, IMO.

I am, however, motivated by posting things I think will be of benefit to the community or a member.

Yes, I know I've been on this forum for only a few days, but this goes for anything I do online really.

I realized I have an obession with numbers. I just like seeing my posts go up for no reason.

Yep, I did that on tuesday where I didn't even bother to wait for other people to post for the "count to a million" thread. I just posted five in a row:P

But ya, I stopped doing that now, I wait for at least one other person to post first.
