If the economy continues to improve, then wouldn't that make Obama's approval rating go up?

2010 will happen, in a few days.

Wall Street will lie to Congress, who will lie to the people, political parties will call each other liers.

On the first day of trading there will be no reason to keep the numbers up for year end bonuses.

As we are at 1999 numbers, but with the dollar worth half as much, with stocks at an all time high of P/E, price to earnings, it will not be a good year to be rich, government, or their brokers and bankers.

The fall elections will seem something like a third world war. People running for office will be running from eggs, rotten tomatoes, and herds of skunks released a rallies.

Public employees will discover that their ill gotten gains of medical care, retirement, were all a market ponzi, and that they will never retire. As they and insurance companies own most of the market, now worthless, government will quit, in mass walkouts.

The remaining government will be reduced to giving out food stamps, and Social Security is still the third rail, touch it and die. As ex government workers are not covered by Social Security, they will be rounded up to work in the fields.

Doctors who rode the wave will be making house calls and being paid in chickens and eggs.

All media will follow newspapers, magazines, and publishing companies. No one will need ads, they can make up thier own lies. The Press will start over as a cottage industry.

The natural experts will gather around Wiki, the new source of information, In general, the internet will be the last man standing. Wrong Planet just hit 32,000, A natural group with a common interest.

Alex picked up a third of the money to take this site up a lot, in a day. Groups with common interests will be the functional survivors.

When the country faces, I do not understand people, systems, or anything, we are a lifetime ahead of the curve. When they look for answers, we have people with that as a special interest, and finally someone will listen.

When they are fed up with lies, and want the blunt truth, we are rotten liers and known for being plain spoken and blunt.

I think 2010 will be a great year.

predictions?

-politicians will spend more time insulting each other then getting any work done
-people will take steps to lose weight but give up when they don't see the results that are shown in the advertisements , (like losing a dress size in a month)

- the people organising Australia's world cup bid will work out all the issues ( I hope).
- Brisbane and Sydney will have basketball teams in the National Basketball League (they had teams before but they went broke)
Melbourne will have a 2nd NBL side. Melbourne had the Dragons and the Tigers but when the league was changing its model the teams decided they weren't going to enter because they didn't like the model and felt they were going to go broke if they entered. However a month later the Tigers decided to enter the League this season after all.
Since Melbourne supported 2 teams happily I think the Dragons will return (looking a lot different because all the old Dragons players and coaches went to different teams) if not the Dragons I think a new team will come in. if not in 2010 then 2011.

I think Kyle Sandilands will return to Australian Idol.
I will attend pop culture and anime conventions (maybe in a costume of some kind)
