It's the name of one of my World of Warcraft characters, originally it was supposed to be "Lex" named after Lex Luthor but the name was taken so I changed the spelling and it kinda stuck.

Valkyrie refers to my Norse heritage. Raven was supposed to be Ravenfeather when I used it in another forum, but that was too long. That refers to my Native American heritage. 88 is the year I was born. The Valkyrie part is my favorite though, because my father's family is descended from Harald Fairhair. We can trace our ancestry to about 515 A.D. on that side, which I think is pretty cool.

Mine is a play on words, the word being rhetorical.

Dictionary definitions:

A rhetorical question is one that is asked without an answer being expected, because the answer is obvious and doesn't need to be stated. For instance, "why me?" or "why are you so stupid?"

I hadn't considererd any of that when I chose the name; I just like puns.

I was really enjoying "Deathly Hallows". When I needed a user name, I decided to open the book at random and point to a word. My finger landed close to "elder wand", which, if you've read the book, you'll know what that is.

I decided to make it one word, and add an "a" to make it more like a girl's name.
