The thing that got me into the 60s, at the tender age of 12, were The Beatles. Now I can't listen to some of their songs, without laughing or crying, depending on what the song is.

I love 60s music.

I have an original Buffalo Springfield LP with a thick lip around the edge of the vinyl that I love to play. My fav song of that album is Flying on the Ground. I used to have a Kinks album, the one with the big colourful buick on the front. My fav song on that was I'm not like Everybody Else. Helen Shapiro has one of the most amazing voices ever! I also love the jazz guitar and drumming of early Yes albums. I like some Traffic songs, but not all. Mr Fantasy is amazing. I love Steve Winwood's voice. The Hollies were fab too. Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress. I think Free began in the 60s but I'm not sure.

But my all time fav 60s group is the Zombies. They did Time of the Season and She's Not There (covered more famously by Santana). The singer Colin Blunstone is one of my most favourite singers ever. He has such an amazingly beautiful voice. And Rod Argent on keyboard - wow.

I think John Denver was 60s too. My Mum loved his music and I grew up listening to him. Rocky Mountain Suite is amazing.

Does anyone else like The Frost? They did an awesome song called Mystery Man on the album Frost Music.

One of my favourite movies ever is from the 60s - Barefoot in the Park with Jane Fonda and Robert Redford about a young newly married couple who move into a tiny apartment on the top floor of a building.

The movies I like that are from the 60s, are in this order.

Help
A Hard Day's Night
My Fair Lady
The Sound of Music
Mary Poppins
In Like Flint
Casino Royale - The original - I like casinos and the 60s. 8)
Yellow Submarine
The Italian Job and
Alfie

Holy smokes! They're almost all British, just like everything else that I love! 8O

The TV shows were so much better, as well.

I Dream of Jeannie
Batman
The Adam's Family
My Three Sons
A Family Affair
The Flintstones
and many more...
