I also think about the day ahead.

I usually think about every puzzle in my head. Stuff like questions asked that day and the answers I "should" have given, what certain people might have did and what they ment, and what somethings do, and think how I should hit google to find out...

Until I finally think about 6mg of Melantonin and actually fall asleep.

I would have chosen "none of the above" if it had been an option.

Quite often I think about my favorite actor--generally either playing back scenes from his movies, or imagining that I'm talking to him about a movie I'd like him to help me make, or something like that, although never in much detail.

Or sometimes I imagine that I'm in my imaginary garden, which has a creek, a fountain, a bench, a large tree with a treehouse, and a rocky beach with a pelican who dives for fish.

Sometimes I think about space-time travel and that kind of stuff. Often I think about all of these things together. I also tend to think about colors and patterns. Last night I remember that I was thinking about the bits of dust that had settled on my freshly cleaned floor, as if I were really tiny and I could see the shadow cast by each speck of dust.

I don't do any planning or worrying; I have a hard enough time thinking that way when I'm fully awake.

At the moment it's usually thoughts about work the next day that accompany me on my nightly journey to the land of nod. Or at least I try to keep it that way, since my brain has an unfortunate habit of trying to liven up my stream of consciousness by injecting random images of me having sex with somebody.

Which is not helpful when I'm trying to get to sleep...

I usually try to avoid thinking when I go to bed, because once i start thinking about something I can't stop and get to sleep.
