My last kitty I had we had to take her to the Humane Society; she became ill and we couldn't take care of her anymore :( I get kind of lonely without her sometimes . . . .

I actually think our admiration with them may have something to do with how similar we can be to cats. A little while ago I found a book at my theropists office, All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome . . . . The comparison of autism to cats is really interesting to think about . . . . :bounce:

Either way, cats are just that lovable

I think I'm going to try to find that book. I love cats too...see my screen name :)

The thing about cats, is that they're more independent than dogs. Aspies turn out to be more independent than NTs in the end.

I have a cat whom I love. In fact, I love him more than my family members. That maybe a bad thing to say but my cat loves me unconditionally and is always there.

One of the best things about cats is that they are far more independent than dogs and they seem to not really require that much social interaction. My cat provides enough but he's not demanding with the interaction compared to my observations with dogs.

I dearly would love to find and read the book All Cats have Asperger Syndrome, not only would it be interesting to read but it would further link the bond that I have with my cat.

In conclusion though, cats are fantastic and lovable companions.

I don't care much for cats, I've read too many online articles about how cats will try to murder you in imaginative, yet frightfull ways.

Also, they poop in a freaking sandbox and I will not clean out a box of grainy poop.

I was surprised to find out I'm a cat person; I always thought it was dogs.
Animals don't understand lying all that well.

Dogs can't lie, cats don't bother...;)

What you see with a pet is what you get.
That's easier to deal with sometimes.

I am very partial to cats. Unfortunately I am very allergic to cats so I cannot have one in the house. It will make have have asthmatic attacks. I used to own a cat, but I had to give her away because of the allergy and the asthma.

I LOVE cats. Everyone has always told I'm going to end up being the old cat lady or something like that. They're beautiful, they're smart, they're elegant, they're wonderful! Plus, my Sissy never ceases to impress and amaze me! She's SMART! And intelligence is something I admire a lot. She knows just how to get me to give what she wants when she wants. After all, she knows I can't say no to her, and will let her do as she likes, even if my dad is furious he and my mom have to pay to get the chairs re tapestried or something. She scratches on the seats all the time, rips the plastic, and scratches it to her heart's content.

She's my baby. My parents always say I spoil her too much. That her shampoo costs twice as much as the ones we use, she has too many toys, she's a picky eater, and we must buy her only a certain food even if the others are much cheaper. I love to see her happy. It makes me happy, too. I also take her in her stroller to the places she enjoys most. Don't ask how I know which places she likes, I just do.lol

If I had more kitties, the cats would sleep on the bed and stuff, while I sleep on the ground or something, they always tell me.

Plus, what packled said. Cats don't lie or bother or anything like that.

I like cats. I miss my cat. He died Nov 2008. :( Next door's cat frequently visits our house, which is better than nothing, but I'm now staying at uni a lot of the time so I miss having a cat around.

As for 'All Cats Have Asperger's Syndrome' - my name is Cat, and I have Asperger's Syndrome

Dogs like to socialize and cats just mind their own business.
