I'm somewhat familiar with Rozen Maiden. I think it's an interesting idea for a show, plus the characters are very cute. I actually thought about buying the box sets for my birthday or Christmas, but I wound up getting other things instead.

Sherry is a good name for a doll; one of my mom's coworkers is named Sherry.

Dollfies (BJDs if you want to get technical) are very sweet, and I love the fact that they're customizable. I've been wanting one badly for the past year or so, but I don't want to invest all the money necessary for one. They were the first kinds of dolls I researched when I started getting interested in dolls, which is why I assumed that porcelain dolls were expensive too. But I quickly found out that porcelain dolls are much cheaper. Even though they're not poseable or customizable like the Dollfies, they're still very pretty. So I think I'll go that route if and when I start my doll collection.

I don't think porcelain dolls are creepy. There was one in my parents' bedroom but I'm not sure if we have it anymore. I'm also quite interested in Victorian dollhouses.

Yeah it does - probably the most evil-looking one I've ever seen. To make matters worse, I think it's close to 3 ft. tall...

I'd love to own one though. Think of what a great conversation piece it would be, lol.

It kinda sucks when you are interested in something that isn't typical of your gender, 'cause there's all these double standards that come along with it. But I think that you should just do what makes you happy regardless of what other guys would think. I mean, you could buy a couple of Dollfies and just hide 'em when your buddies come over, right? It's not like they would ever rummage through your closet (or would they?)

Anyway, it's true that the Dollfie community is primarily women's territory. Every once in awhile a (usually gay) guy shows up, but I'd say it's made up of like 97% women. As a heads-up, the largest Dollfie forum (Den of Angels) isn't all casual and relaxed like this one is... They treat the dolls like serious business over there. For starters, there are very strict rules about what kind of dolls you can own in order to be a part of the forum. By contrast, the Junkyspot forum is much smaller, but also much more lenient.

If I had a doll, I'd talk to it like it's alive too. I mean, I pretty much already do the same thing with imaginary friends and whatnot, so a doll wouldn't be much different.

I love porcelain dolls. They're beautiful to look at, and they have a lot of detailing to their faces and their costumes.

I bet if you joined the doll forums you would get loads of girls interested in you, so many of the girls are so obsessed with dolls, they would be so pleased to find a guy who liked them and shared their interest.
