Actually, the first avatar I had here ( a crispy critter, red hot, and being blown away by hurricane force winds)
was titled 'Life on Venus the first half-second'..;)

Between the pressure, the wind, the heat, and the acid in the atmosphere, it'd be 'nasty, brutish, and short'

What a dreadful choice! Mars is virtually dead and Venus is a hell hole and beyond terraforming. Mars is potentially terraformable, an in a pinch could serve as a temporary lifeboat for any human survivors of a global catastrophe here on Earth.

wish i'd remembered that option. i visited a subterranean house once, it was so quiet and calm. from the outside on 3 sides it looked just like a garden atop a berm.
