"Crest has been shown to be an effective decay-preventive dentifrice that can be of significant value when used in a consciensously-applied program of oral hygeine and regular professional care."

I can still see that guy standing there saying that.

when i was a little kid in the early 60s there was this cartoon anti-smoking commercial featuring a voiceover with an animation of a guy getting up in the morning with his "smoker's hack" and he coughs so hard his head bounces right up off his body and bounces away from his body, coughing all the way. try as i might, i just couldn't find this one anywhere, youtube or whatever.

That reminded me of one of my all-time favorite Gap commercials, the one where they do the Lindy Hop. I think that was the first time I'd seen that particular style of swing dancing, and it's still my favorite type of dancing to watch.

The old Alka-Seltzer commercial: I can't believe I ate the whole thing.

Or Mama Mia. That's a spicy meatball!

I was going to post that one as well but I figured I had posted enough videos already. It's one of my favourites as well.

Reviving an old thread....

-The original series of Energizer Bunny ads, the ones where he'd walk through the fake commercials, like this:

("stop the bunny please") :D

-There was another one for a cell phone provider that ran like the "Opposite Sketches" on YOU CAN'T DO THAT ON TELEVISION - the mother and daughter arguing, but saying the opposite of what is usual:

"Why do you insist on treating me like an adult?" "Because you insist on acting like one! Now you're getting this new phone."

I cannot remember which cell phone company it was....

can't find it anywhere, but it was an old [1960s] anti-smoking PSA showing a cartoon guy puffing on a cigarette and then his "smoker's hack" cough resulted in the guy's head bouncing off his body and bouncing down the street going "COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH etc." :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: etc.

There was a Sealy Posturpedic commercial back in the 90's that had the most beautiful nocturne as background music. I can't find it anywhere and can't place the music.

When I was a kid I liked the Santa on the electric razor and I also liked this one Cold Duck commercial that had a different version of "Carol of the Bells".

*gets smacked in the head with a boomerang* "I'm goin' Outback tonight!"

Now, people get smacked in the head with apples so they can order Redd's Apple Ale.

I forgot about two holiday commercials that have been running for years:

-The M&Ms meet Santa...and Red M&M and Santa promptly pass out.
-The Hershey's Kisses chiming "We Wish You A Merry Christmas".
