Anger is a secondary emotion... meaning, it always comes after another emotion. You might feel scared, uncomfortable, lonely, confused, etc. and that feeling manifests itself in anger. Keeping that in mind, I'm curious why you would say this

and yet feel that the baby was being manipulative with her response. The baby was simply expressing her emotions of confusion/loneliness/whatever, which may look different than the 'anger' that you say you would feel, but in reality are probably some of the same root feelings.
