My favourite meal is lunch flavoured cup-a-soup!

(Sorry, with half the people on the thread listing meal-times and half listing actual dishes, I couldn't help thinking about the following comedy sketch :) ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3nhHV4GiLg )

By the way, what does everyone understand by the word dinner? In the south of England, dinner is the third meal of the day (after breakfast and lunch), whereas in the north of England dinner is the second meal (between breakfast and tea).

In the republic, dinner is the fourth meal of the day, and is usually eaten in the late evening. Tea is taken 3-5 pm. Lunch is 12-1, and breakfast is 8-9

Well it does have duel meaning. :D fixed my post.

I used to find it confusing as a child. Out here is California it is Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. When I used to go to Germany in the summer as a kid to stay with relatives it was Breakfast, Dinner, and Supper. Later in other parts of the USA I found the latter to be the norm. I think I prefer the Breakfast, Lunch, Supper.
