By the way, what does everyone understand by the word dinner? In the south of England, dinner is the third meal of the day (after breakfast and lunch), whereas in the north of England dinner is the second meal (between breakfast and tea).

I used to find it confusing as a child. Out here is California it is Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. When I used to go to Germany in the summer as a kid to stay with relatives it was Breakfast, Dinner, and Supper. Later in other parts of the USA I found the latter to be the norm. I think I prefer the Breakfast, Lunch, Supper.
