I think it's just a West Michigan thing but hands down the best pizza I've ever had is from Mr. Scrib's.

They're kind of expensive though, so we don't get to have it very often.

Usually just for like special occasions \m/

I find most national chains to be mediocre rather than terrible. There are terrible independents as well as good ones.

Local pizza joints are run by Pakistanis and have a reputation of not being too clever.

Locally, Pizza Joint, (Yeah, there is a Pizza place up here called Pizza Joint) Aunti Leonis, Portland Pie, and I've actually had decent pizza at Angelone's. The Pizza Chain places are basically grease on a crust.

Of couse. Also I find the thought of Tikka Masala, or Saag Paneer as pizza topping nauseating. OTOH, I've ate decent pizza at pizza shops run by middle easterners, (Palestinians or Egyptians, I believe).

New Haven, Connecticut has its own style of pizza which is pretty great. I've only been to Pepe's, Bru Bar, and one other place out in the suburbs. Can't go wrong.

For chains, Little Caesars is decent. Never had Papa Johns. Pizza Hut and Dominoes are mediocre, and I generally avoid.

Bonanza Pizza, it's a small shop at a local store. Amazing pizza.

A chain franchise moved in near it and I'm worried, but the franchise gets hardly any customers compared to this place. Luckily.

Weird to see so much love for Little Ceasars.

I used to like them, but ever since their $5 Hot and Ready, they've turned into the fast food of pizza. Just something cheap and filling when you're hungry.

It's better than the other chains. I get extra peperoni at Pizza Hut & I have less on than LC has. I get coupons in sale-papers from Pizza Hut & it still cost more than LC & the taste is no better. Domino's is the worst I've had; I think the box mite would taste better. The local places here make you wait over half an hour, taste no better than LC & they charge two or tree times as much

I was going to vote Pepe's in New Haven, but you beat me.

I can't eat their thin crust, but I like their regular crust pizzas.

But then I haven't had anything from them since they changed their recipes.

I think probably the worst pizza I've had was from Pizza Ranch. It was really dry, not greasy at all, and just kind of made me nauseous for some reason.

Their chicken and potatoes isn't bad, though, but for a while I couldn't eat it or even smell it, because it just reminded me of their pizza.

But otherwise I will eat just about anything...even if it requires ranch dressing or Frank's Red Hot.
