I have been extremely selfless for the most part of my life. But now I am a lot more self-serving.

I wonder if most people are selfish, but don't want to be seen as selfish. They do things that make them look generous to appear that they are not selfish.

BTW I clicked on "selfless" thinking it said "selfish." Sorry. Adjust accordingly. I do, however, do my part to help the environment, so I am not totally selfish.

I try to be as selfless as I can.

Don't we all? For me, the intent is there, its just the carry through that falters. I would say that I am normal-- selfish on occasion, selfless on occasion and usually somewhere in between.

I am not greedy, hoggish or miserly. I am not a bleeding heart. I am very selfish when it comes to my time...I don't give it up much.

I'm sorry Moog, but I just don't share your beliefs.

That's okay. I don't either. And these aren't my beliefs, I just think it's interesting. Although, many of the less nutty religions also emphasize kindness. I have found that kindness has practical benefits, besides the opportunity to incarnate in exciting new densities. I am rubbish at being kind, but I try.

That's okay! People keep apologizing to me recently, it's weird. I'm not upset!

I think It's an easy and normal assumption to make that what a person says or quotes is what they believe.

If I moved into a greater density, would I have superhuman strength and toughness?

The selfish/selfless model is somewhat imprecise, since so many good acts yield rewards to the "selfless". I do try to be moral and polite. I have found that on the few occasions I have intentionally acted immorally, I have not felt guilt. This still confuses me. But I still try to be moral because, well, those are the rules.
